Staying in the familiarity of home allows the family and pet to avoid the stress and potential discomfort with travel to the hospital.

Quality of Life Evaluations

Deciding when the time is right for euthanasia can be a very difficult and personal decision. There is no one right answer.

Peaceful Pets offers an initial complimentary phone consultation with our veterinarian to discuss your questions and concerns regarding your pet’s quality of life, euthanasia, and aftercare options.

If you are still having a difficult time deciding if the time is right for euthanasia, our veterinarian can schedule an in-home evaluation. In the comfort of your home, our veterinarian will complete a physical and visual assessment of your pet and will discuss your pet’s daily life and behavior to understand your pet’s quality of life. This option may be easier on your pet especially if they are no longer mobile or if transportation causes stress and discomfort. Our Veterinarian can provide guidance on how to care for your pet at the end stages and help you understand your options so you can maximize your pet’s quality of life. The in-home evaluation can help provide you with the peace of mind that you are making the best decisions for your pet and you. There is a fee for this service.
